Kimberly's Story

Life Wow, it's been way too long to think back this far but ok, since I left school, oh wait, "old timers" kicked in, I can't remember! Actually, I have not been far from Brentwood. I got married in 1986 to no one anyone knows (thank goodness). Anyway, 3 years later, I got divorced. (there is not enough room on this bio page to give details, trust me it was a soap oprea). Anyway, Zoom to today: 2007, I am working as an Implementation Specialist for a software company based out of Weston, Fl. I truly enjoy it as it gives me the freedom to work out of my home and travel the U.S. and Canada. I get the autonomy I need, and the(Ding) "freedom to move about the country" can you tell I fly Southwest a lot! Anyway, I don't have any children, however I do have two wonderful nephews and a niece that I treat as my own. I love going out and having fun, whether it be dancing, movies, going to the park or riding horses, I am adventureous (those of you that know me, well, already know that) but for those of you I never got to spend a lot of time with, I love adventure. In May, 2007 I got certified to charter sailboats. I went to Jacksonville, FL. over the Memorial weekend with my parents, spent 2 days on the water and had a blast. The high winds and waves were a blast. I'm looking forward to my next adventure on the high seas. I love Las Vegas (dont' want to live there) but go there 3 or more times a year just to have some fun. Life in Murfreesboro, good, I wouldn't change a thing, but I do like to go to new places and have fun. I love the beach, that is one place you will find me more often than not. The beach is my comfort, when my life needs perspective. Nothing beats standing at the waters edge, while you look out at the vast sea. The beach is where I relax, enjoy life and make memories. My other past time is investment property, travel, movies and music. So, that is about it for me. I have gone through my mid-life crisis already (very early) so ...Expand for more
now, I am enjoying life and hope to see more of you all in it. Hope to talk to you all soon, please write, I would love to hear from you. Kim Mitchell College Well, MTSU at first, went there for a year and a half and found that sleeping in my car in "little egypt" was not going to get me a good grade. I went to Nashville Tech in '82 and got an AS degree in computer programming. Believe it or not, I am now finishing my degree BSMIT through Kaplan College. I am about to graduate, so please hold your breath. At this ripe old age, I am on my last leg, but I am dying to get another cap and gown (laughig). Workplace My work life, (ha) Ok, thinking back.....Started at Service Merchandise back when I was a Senior in high school. After that, I worked as a New store opening coordinator for Cracker Barrel, Was Director of Human Resources for a Home Health Agency located in Brentwood; moved to Murfreesboro. I am now working for a company called Ultimate Software. They are a Human Resources/Time and labor software company. I am an Implementation Specialist that configures databases and delivers onsite training to my customers. It's great, I get to work from home and travel on the companies money. Pretty cool for now. Ya never know opportunities life will bring your way. I am currently up for promotion, so please say a prayer. February 2007 - my situation changed, so now I live for life...Money does not make you happy (although I am not compaling about my salary)....family and friends, good friends, now that makes you happy. I still enjoy what I am doing for a living, but I have had an awakening. Now I focus my energies on what is really important. :-) I hope you all are doing well and life has treated you kindly. I would love to hear from you guys. Military That would require strict dicipline; which unfortunately, I have none. I would like to say, for those that have and are defending our Country. May God Bless you All! Kim
